LEE JONG SHEO

The artistic research of Lee Jong Sheo is predominantly articulated on some aspects that we can immediately find in the realized shapes, one of this intrinsic concepts finds itself in the human shape, or, to better say, in the human kind. Behind his work always lies the persona, the ambition of the artist is to make perceptible, concrete, the interior condition of the human being with a close look trough the inside.

The sculptures of Lee Jong Sheo are messages of love and positive energy. Such they are by showing us in full light, as in full sensuality, the truth of the being that finds himself nude, stripped of his clothes by the discovery of its organic belonging to the timeless dynamic of the universe.

The sculpture shows the human and the animal presence both articulated in a myriad characters and subjects that are always moving, always doing something, each one of them appears busy, focused on some sort of profession of life characteristic or of simple position. An imaginary world builded with metaphors and proverbs by the artist on a spiritual path from fantasy to sculpture. The art he produces is the sublimation of men’s opera and of the memory, handmade and relived trough senses.
