L’opera Costellazioni rappresenta Selene, Artemide ed Ecate, divinità spesso accomunate e venerate sotto le forme corrispondenti alle tre fasi lunari. Selene a sinistra, dea del cielo e personificazione della luna piena, della magia e della fertilità. Artemide in centro, dea della caccia degli animali selvatici e della foresta. Ecate a destra, dea degli inferi, della magia nera dei demoni e dei morti. Queste tre divinità con caratteristiche opposte venivano spesso confuse e rappresentate con gli elementi sbagliati, per questo motivo l’artista ha deciso di dare a tutte lo stesso volto creando fra loro una connessione universale terrena e celeste fatta di forze, contraddizioni, similitudini e fragilità.
The artwork Costellazioni depicts Selene, Artemis, and Hecate, deities often associated with one another and worshipped in connection with the three phases of the moon. Selene, on the left, is the goddess of the sky and the personification of the full moon, magic, and fertility. Artemis, in the center, is the goddess of the hunt, wild animals, and the forest. Hecate, on the right, is the goddess of the underworld, black magic, demons, and the dead. These three deities, despite their contrasting attributes, were often mistaken for one another and represented with incorrect elements, for this reason, the artist chose to give them all the same face, creating a universal connection, both earthly and celestial, woven from strength, contradictions, similarities, and fragility.
